The Lock Haven University vs. Arizona State University “Rumble in the Jungle” NCAA Division I wrestling match has been the talk at Red Lion for the past couple of months.

For the first time ever, Red Lion High School hosted a college wrestling match.

Just tonight, Fri. Jan. 25, at 7 p.m. was time for the event.

Thousands of spectators including students, players, and coaches filled Red Lion High School’s Fitzkee Center.

Within the first few matches, Lock Haven took lead.

The last match of the night was between Lock Haven’s Chance Marsteller, a former Kennard Dale High School graduate and wrestler, and Arizona State’s Josh Shields, who is also from Pennsylvania.

Marsteller fought hard and took the last match into overtime. Shields then won the match 2-1.

After a busy night of cheerleading performances, engaged crowds, and a number of tough matches, the final score was 23-14 with Lock Haven taking the winning title.
